Holy crap! the new wordpress 2.7 (from svn) is insane! There are a lot of changes! I don’t know whether or not I even like it. :-\ Oh well, that’s why I run my blog from svn.
Wordpress 2.6 is out now. Not that I notice too much because I just use the svn anyway, but… I must comment on one of their stupid features.
It used to be… in some recent version (maybe 2.5 even) that I could go into the Plugins config page and if a plugin was out of date I could click “Upgrade Automatically” and it would be done very quickly. But NOW when I click it… it asks for FTP configurations… of which I do not and will not run on my server. What the hell happened? Why can’t it work like it worked before?? It clearly worked just fine… so wtf?
I’m back to using Wordpress. The 2.5 release looked good to me, so I figured I’d go back to it. Plus… serendipity was rather dull and boring.
Let me know if you see anything weird.
